CAA Swimming & Diving Championships get underway today where the William & Mary men’s swimming team comes into the Championships looking for its sixth consecutive CAA title and where the James Madison women’s swimming team is looking for its third straight CAA title. Here is our preview for the upcoming competition:

IOWA CITY - College swimming deepest conference takes to competition over the next two weeks to crown Big Ten swimming and diving champions. Starting with the women hosted at the University of Iowa and following with the men at Indiana University, the conference championships are poised to feature outstanding races, breathtaking finishes, and high-flying scores before the competitions are over.

The 2020 Mountain West Swimming and Diving Championships kicks off this Thursday, Feb. 19 - Feb. 22 at the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis.

This week, many of the sport’s top up-and-comers will compete within walking distance of Tampa Bay in the 2019 ISCA TYR International Senior Cup. Featuring three Olympic Trials qualifiers and numerous hopefuls, the Sunshine State presents a season finale-style competition, open to hundreds of swimmers from around the country and beyond.

What to know before the 2019 Big Ten Men's Swimming & Diving Championship

What better way to start off a preview is to take a look at the most recent dual meet performances from each squad and pick out some swimmers to watch? Let’s do just that. 

After opening the season with five major-Division 1 foes, Ohio State is slated to match up with mid-major Akron and DIII Denison on Friday. As far as in-state competition goes, this meet brings a wide range of swimmers together.

Early season, inter-conference matchups are in full swing. After facing Alabama to open the season, Ohio State hosts another major season kick-off meet. Texas A&M and Louisville travel to Columbus for a meet that will simulate the competitive atmosphere of a championship meet. 

Preseason collegiate swimming rankings aren’t even posted yet. That doesn’t mean two top-25 programs can’t take to the pool to kick off the year. The Alabama Crimson Tide travel north to Columbus, Ohio to take on Big Ten opponent Ohio State.

The academic year has returned. College swimmers are returning from summer training and competition to pick up the books once again. It won’t be long until they are pulling on their school's cap as the collegiate season begins.
