Five members of USA Swimming's 2017 FINA World Junior Championship team are slated to race at the 2017 NCSA Summer Championships on August 1-5 in Indianapolis at the IUPUI Natatorium -- or "The Nat" as it is affectionately known.

The Nat will also play host to the 2017 FINA World Junior Championships, so the young stars for the United States will look to take advantage of an opportunity to race in the famed pool in a championship setting before Junior Worlds.

The five swimmers are: Amalie Fackenthal, Alex Sumner, Chase Travis, Cody Bybee, and Eric Knowles.

Amalie Fackenthal - DAVIS Aquadarts Racing Team
The 17-year-old earned a spot on the team in the 4x100m freestyle relay thanks to her 55.61 100m freestyle at the U.S. Nationals in June. At NCSA Juniors, she is the top seed in the 100m (55.61), top seed in the 50m freestyle (25.76), and fourth seed in the 100m butterfly (1:01.09).

Alex Sumner - Suburban Seahawks Club
Sumner earned a spot on the team by way of an extremely impressive fifth-place finish in the 200m backstroke at U.S. Nationals. The 16-year-old's prelims time of 2:10.36 ranks her 38th in the world this year -- among ALL swimmers. Sumner is the top seed in both the 100m backstroke (1:01.61) and 200m backstroke (2:10.36) at NCSA Juniors. She is also entered in the 200m freestyle, 200m butterfly, 400m IM, 100m butterfly, 50m backstroke, and 200m IM.

Chase Travis - Nation's Capital Swim Club
Travis will be representing the stars and stripes in the 800m freestyle courtesy of her 8:42.49 from U.S. Nationals. Travis also swam a very fast 1500 at Nationals, dropping a 16:35 for 15th place. Not too shabby for a 14-year-old -- or really anybody, for that matter. Travis is entered in the 200m/400m/800m freestyle, 200m backstroke, and 200m/400m IM at NCSA Juniors.

Cody Bybee - Dayton Raiders
A 17-year-old, Bybee has already given Bob Bowman a verbal commitment to join the Arizona State Sun Devils in the fall of 2018. Bybee earned his spot on the 4x200m freestyle relay at World Juniors thanks to a swift 1:49.05 in the 200m freestyle at U.S. Nationals. Bybee is also strong in the 100m freestyle and 100m butterfly with times of 50.22 and 53.74, respectively. He will be swimming both of those events in Indy at NCSA Juniors.

Eric Knowles - Dayton Raiders
Bybee's teammate at Dayton Raiders Eric Knowles will also be wearing the red, white, and blue at World Juniors by way of his 4:22.53 in the 400m IM at U.S. Nationals in June. Knowles, who is joining the NC State Wolfpack this fall, is slated to be a busy man at NCSA Juniors with a massive lineup of 10 events -- 200m/400m IM, 50m/100m/200m breaststroke, 100m/200m/400m/1500m freestyle, and 50m butterfly.

Check out the official psych sheet with all entries below. The competition is scheduled to kick off Tuesday, August 1, at 8:30 AM Eastern.
