The official psych sheet for the 2017 NCAA Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Championships at IUPUI in Indianapolis, Indiana
Today, the NCAA released the official psych sheet for the Division I Men's Swimming & Diving Championships which begin on Wednesday, March 22 and go through Saturday, March 25 at IUPUI in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Let's take a deeper dive (pun intended) into the nitty-gritty, shall we?
- 235 swimmers were invited in total from 50 teams, an average of 4.7 swimmers per team (does not include divers)
- Between 29 & 30 swimmers were invited in each event
- Cal leads the way in most swimmers invited with 17
- Texas (15), Stanford (14), and Florida (13) round out the next three teams
- Auburn secured 11 invitations, while Georgia, Louisville, and NC State all secured 10
- Each of the 13 individual events have a faster invited time in 2017 compared to 2016
- Each of the 5 relay events have a faster invited time in 2017 compared to 2016
