5 Swimmers to Watch

True Sweester (Stanford)
Sweester has been a game changer for the Cardinals in the distance events so far this season. He swept the 500/1,000 against a strong California team on Friday and looks to do the same at 11 AM PST against the Wildcats.

Katie Ledecky (Stanford)
Ledecky is coming off of an incredible performance in Rio and doesn't seem to be looking back. Her dominant NCAA season thus far could go down as one of the best seasons in the history of the sport. Look for her to settle into her role as a 500/1,000 swimmer as we creep closer to conference season.

Hannah Cox (Arizona)
Cox is the only person Ledecky has to worry about in a Wildcats cap on Saturday. After throwing down a 4:32 in the 500 free against Cal, it wouldn't be surprising to see Ledecky's name pop up in the 500 free this time around.

Sam Perry (Stanford)
A sprint specialist, Perry will provide a great deal of value against a strong sprinting Wildcats team. His 20.18 against the Sun Devils on Friday shows he is ready to get after it in what is sure to be a close battle in Tuscon.

Arizona's Medley Relays
Although this isn't one specific person, the Arizona Wildcats have proven themselves to be NCAA title contenders in both the women's and men's 200 medley relays. With the women just shy of setting a new American record and the men just over second away at the Texas Invite, these power house relays are not to be ignored. Look for the Wildcats to continue their dominance in the in the medley relays.
