FloSwimming's Clark Burckle had the incredible opportunity of calling the 2017 Energy for Swim this week in Rome with legendary swimming Milorad "Milo" Cavic. In the swimming community, Cavic is most know for his 100m butterfly duels with Michael Phelps at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing and 2009 World Championships in Rome -- the same pool (Foro Italico) that hosted the Energy for Swim.
In the video interview above -- the Olympic silver medalist and former world-record holder Cavic speaks to the significance and charitable impact of Energy for Swim, about returning to the Foro Italico, and what he thinks about those races with Phelps looking back in the rearview mirror.
Cavic recently accepted a position as assistant head coach with Dave Geyer and the LSU Tigers this fall.
