Everyone was on pins and needles heading into the men's 200m breaststroke -- knowing how deep the field was and knowing that the United States was going to have to leave ​three​ sub-2:10 200m breaststrokers home. In the end, ​​Kevin Cordes got his hand on the wall first in 2:07.41. Cordes was actually under world record pace at the 150 and even though he fell off that pace it was still a big moment for him pick up a win in a field like that.
