Isabella Magno scored four times for the Bulldogs. Four players scored multiple goals in what was the program's inaugural home game.
Head coach Natalie Benson was encouraged by the attendance and support of a crowd known as the “Red Wave.”
"It's why I came here," Benson said. "Water polo is respected and people want to come watch and support the team. I think that's what's going to make these athletes feel like legitimate Division I athletes. They have fan support.”
The Bulldogs scored just 20 seconds into the game when Emily Nicholson picked off a pass on the perimeter and took it the distance to put her team up 1-0. Fresno State would add six more goals before the end of the period.
Madelynn Garcia totaled 10 saves, three assists, and one steal in the cage.
