2017 FINA World Cup — Cluster No. 3

Nov. 10-11: Beijing

Russian star Vlad Morozov was the star of the show on night two of finals at the Beijing World Cup, winning two individual gold medals and also threatening a world record along the way.

Making up for lost points after not swimming any individual finals Friday night, Morozov blew away the field right from the start, pushing his own world record to miss by just 0.06 of a second. In second place was 18-year-old reigning world champion Michael Andrew, who broke the world junior record in collecting silver.

Morozov continued his good form by posting a 20.8 in the men’s dash, not far off his lifetime best.
