The Olympic Games Instagram page posted an interesting side-by side video of the 100m butterfly Thursday afternoon.

The one on the left is from the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City -- the first time the 100m fly was competed in an Olympic Games. The one on the right is from the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janiero.

Winning time in 1968? 55.9 -- Doug Russell (USA)

Winning time in 2016? 50.39 -- Joseph Schooling (SIN)

Crazy what kind of difference 48 years can make.
