The facilities arms race in college athletics is getting out of control. I mean, Clemson recently built a $55 million football facility with a nap room, barber shop, laser tag area, indoor slide, and movie theater. Give me a break... But hey, money talks and this is a complex issue. Revenue allocation from cash cows -- football, men's basketball -- in college athletics benefits the smaller fish such as swimming. Pun intended.

The new digs offer the Sun Devils swimmers and divers necessary resources -- including a stocked kitchen for adequate nutrition and recovery -- to succeed at the highest level.
