The only person standing ahead of him in the world rankings is the man, the myth, the legend -- Adam Peaty of Great Britain. The world record holder (by a long shot) and 2016 Olympic gold medalist skipped across the pond and casually dropped a 58.86 at the arena Pro Swim Series at Indianapolis in March, a new US Open Record. Not too shabby for a mid-season meet.
Peaty will be competing in the 2017 British Swimming Championships from April 18 - April 23 in Sheffield, England to earn a spot on Team GB's World Championship Team.
